About Us

Our Mission

Wesleyan Community Church is a part of a worldwide fellowship of churches located in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Our purpose is to glorify God in our ministries in such a way that people are attracted to our Christ, who redeems and gives eternal life.

In our worship, our evangelism, our discipleship, our care for others and our fellowship we propose to honor Christ in ways that recognize His powerful presence within us.

Church Profile

We have maintained a ministry of powerful presence in the south suburban Chicago land area for more than fifty years.

Our denomination, the Wesleyan Church, was founded in the mid 1800's. We once were a part of the Methodist Church prior to the Civil War. Our founders separated with the Methodists over slavery and church government. Other principals in our denominational heritage were a part of the revival movement in the Midwest and South. We opposed slavery.

We established a representative congregational government where safeguards of governance help protect those values we have held significant.

We are one of nearly 50 churches located in Illinois. Our state headquarters is located in Bloomington, Illinois. We are associates of the National Council of Evangelicals. We are also a member of the Willow Creek Association.

You will find our services and ministries reflect the doctrine summarized in the ancient doctrinal statement of the Apostle's Creed. For More information contact us at webmaster@wesleyanchurch.com , or our National organization www.wesleyan.org
